Interesting. How do you deal with enterprise communication issues? Vertical communication pathways quickly get overloaded when projects scale. There are ways of dealing with this. The most effective include:

* Reduce the need for communication through mission orientation and IOHAI leadership training. This is what the U.S. Marine Corps does to maintain agility during military operations.
* Institute lateral and diagonal communications pathways. The Gore Ltd. lattice organization is one example. The U.S Marine Corps fits the bill here too, and probably Virgin Group.
* Information pull techniques. Crawford Slip is one of my favorite techniques for information pull.
